Disney Dominates US Streaming Market, Despite Competition from Other Titles
According to Nielsen's latest streaming chart for the US from June 29th to July 5th, Disney continues to dominate the market. The company holds a large share of the acquired charts with its biggest hits, including 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Bluey', 'Family Guy', and 'Bob's Burgers'. These shows still draw viewers on Hulu and Disney+, contributing to the platform's overall success.
The chart also highlights some notable performances from other titles. The final season of 'The Bear' hit Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ a day before this chart covers, giving the show a strong performance. Additionally, Pixar's latest movie, 'Hoppers', continues to pull in viewers on the movie chart.
On the movie charts, the annual 'Independence Day' boost is also noticeable, as Americans celebrated the July 4th weekend with a classic Alien adventure starring Will Smith. The third film in the Avatar franchise isn't as popular as its previous instalments, but it still performs well.
