Disney Drops Lightning Lane Prices Ahead of Labor Day Weekend
The Walt Disney World Resort has dropped the price of its Lightning Lane Premier Passes for Labor Day weekend at Magic Kingdom. The move comes as attendance figures have been softer than expected, particularly during the 'ghost town' period in August and September.
According to Inside the Magic, prices for this year's Labor Day weekend have dropped significantly, with Friday (September 4) priced at $299, Saturday (September 5) at $359, Sunday (September 6) at $329, and Monday (September 7, Labor Day) at $329. This represents a decrease of $100 on Friday, $60 on Saturday, $70 on Sunday, and $50 on Monday compared to last year.
This decision follows the introduction of new, lower prices for Lightning Lane Premier Passes earlier this year, which set a floor price of $299 for Magic Kingdom. It is unclear whether Disney will continue to vary and lower its Lightning Lane pricing system in response to changing attendance patterns.
