Disney Execs Reveal Secrets Behind Immersive Theme Park Experiences

A new documentary series called 'Disney Worldbuilders' is set to give fans an exclusive look at the creative minds behind Disney's most iconic films. The series features candid conversations with top industry professionals, including Bob Iger, James Cameron, and Jon Favreau.

The documentary takes viewers on a journey through the development of immersive experiences based on beloved franchises like 'Avatar', 'Star Wars', Marvel, Pixar, and Frozen. The creators share their inspiration, creative breakthroughs, and behind-the-scenes moments that brought these worlds to life.

Leslie Iwerks, an Academy Award and Emmy-nominated filmmaker, directs the documentary series. As the granddaughter of Ub Iwerks, Walt Disney's original animator and co-creator of Mickey Mouse, she brings a unique perspective to the project.

The 'Disney Worldbuilders' series premieres on August 20 on Disney+ after its world premiere at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Sunday, August 16.
