Disney Extends Permit for Former Galactic Starcruiser Building Conversion

The former Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser building is being converted into Walt Disney Imagineering offices. A permit extension for general construction at the site has been filed by Disney's Facility Asset Management team, contracting Balfour Beatty Construction LLC.

The new permit expires on August 25, 2027, and is an extension of a previously expired permit with the same details. This suggests that the changes being made are more focused on general maintenance rather than thematic updates to the hotel.

Earlier this year, Walt Disney Imagineering filed its own permit for construction at an administration building next to the main hotel, also contracting Balfour Beatty.
