Walt Disney World has filed two permits for Tangaroa Terrace at Disney's Polynesian Resort. The space, which was formerly used as a buffet restaurant and kids' club, is currently being utilized by cast members as a break area.

The first permit was submitted on September 8, 2026, with Keenan Hopkins Schmidt Ans Stowell (KHS&S) listed as the contractor for 'general conditions.' The second permit, filed two days later, named New Horizon Construction Services as the contractor for similar improvements.

Both permits do not expire until December 31, 2027, which is longer than the usual one-year expiration period. This suggests that Disney may be planning more extensive work on the area.
