Disney, F1 Extend Partnership Through 2028 with Pixar's Cars
Disney and Formula One (F1) have announced an extension of their partnership through 2028, which first began in 2025. The collaboration will now include Pixar's Cars franchise, marking a significant expansion beyond Mickey & Friends.
The partnership will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Disney film Cars. Lightning McQueen has been given a new look for this occasion and will participate in the Formula One Gran Premio d'Italia at Monza in September.
This marks the first time that the collaboration has expanded beyond Mickey & Friends, with Cars joining in on the partnership. Since its inception, the Disney-F1 partnership has made its presence felt through various events and initiatives, such as a performance by Disney Live Entertainment at the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix and a WEBTOON comic series launched at the Chinese Grand Prix earlier this year.
