Disney Files Permit for Potential Refurbishment of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway

A construction permit has been filed for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway at Disney's Hollywood Studios, suggesting maintenance work could be underway.

The permit, which was filed by Disney's Facility Asset Management team, calls for Coastal Steel Inc. to perform 'General Construction' at the ride's address, which may indicate steel work is needed.

Coastal Steel has worked on ride systems in the past and even built the Chinese Theatre façade of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, leading some to speculate that they could be performing an exterior refurbishment.
