Disney Gift Cards Face Hurdles at Disney Springs Amid New Update
Disney Gift Card holders have experienced an unexpected change in their shopping experience at Disney Springs. According to Inside the Magic, several third-party stores within the area have stopped accepting these gift cards as a form of payment. This includes retailers like Zara and Vera Bradley. However, it's essential to note that not all third-party locations are affected by this change.
Stores like Sephora continue to accept Disney Gift Cards without any issues. It appears that this development is limited to third-party shops at Disney Springs and does not affect other areas within the resort or theme parks. Guests can still use their gift cards at Disney-owned and operated locations, such as the Disney Store and World of Disney.
Disney has also announced a separate update regarding Disney+ gift cards. These cards now function similarly to standard Disney Gift Cards and can be used for food, merchandise, and tickets at any Disney-owned location. Additionally, guests can consolidate their balance onto a single primary card or vice versa up to $1,000 per card.
