Disney Guests Advised to 'Change Dates' for Better Value in 2027
Guests planning to visit Walt Disney World in late 2026 are facing a dilemma. With several major additions scheduled for next year, including an entirely new land at Disney's Animal Kingdom and significant updates to other parks, some families may be better off waiting until 2027.
The added attractions include Tropical Americas, or Pueblo Esperanza, which will replace DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom. This massive project is expected to feature three new rides and dining/shopping areas. Additionally, Disney's Hollywood Studios will debut its Monsters, Inc. area in 2027, although the highly anticipated door-vault roller coaster is expected to open later.
Meanwhile, Magic Kingdom will see a major update to Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, with new scenes, a refreshed Audio-Animatronic figure of Walt Disney, and celebrity voice acting from Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston. For some guests, waiting until these projects are completed might make more sense, especially considering the potential for lower crowds.
However, there is no guarantee that delaying a trip by just a few months will give visitors access to all of these new attractions. Disney has not announced specific opening dates beyond 2027, leaving some uncertainty about when exactly each park will debut its new additions.
