Disney Honors New Class of Legends at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event

The Walt Disney Company honored its latest class of Disney Legends at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on August 16, 2026. The event was held at the Honda Center and featured incredible performances, heartwarming speeches, and touching moments.

This year's class of Disney Legends consisted of 11 individuals who have made a lasting impact on The Walt Disney Company. They include Chris Berman, Jerry Bruckheimer, Susan Egan, Eric Goldberg, Anne Hathaway, Bob Iger, Kim Irvine, Dwayne Johnson, the Jonas Brothers, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Alan Tudyk.

The ceremony included special presentations from notable figures in the entertainment industry. For example, Lin-Manuel Miranda performed a musical medley of his hit songs from Moana, Encanto, and Hamilton. Auli'i Cravalho presented Miranda with his award and praised his work.

Dwayne Johnson was also honored for his contributions to Disney's film division. Emily Blunt presented him with the award and reflected on how he has redefined the modern movie star. Bob Iger received a tribute from an impressive line-up of icons across entertainment, news, and sports, including Al Michaels and Disney Legends Diane Sawyer, Ellen Pompeo, Robert Downey Jr., and Harrison Ford.
