Disney Hosts The Warrior Games for Third Time in 2027
The Walt Disney World Resort is set to host The Warrior Games in August 2027. This annual adaptive sports competition celebrates the strength, resilience, and healing journeys of wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans.
The games will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the third time, following previous events in 2022 and 2024. Nearly 200 competitors from five military teams will participate in 12 adaptive sports, including archery, cycling, field events, and wheelchair rugby.
Disney's commitment to the US military dates back to its founders, Walt and Roy O. Disney, who served during World War I. This event is a continuation of that legacy, honoring service members through meaningful experiences and celebrations.
