Disney Imagineers Pack Up Models for D23
Walt Disney Imagineering is gearing up for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. In preparation, they have shared a time-lapse video on Instagram showcasing their team packing crates to be transported to the Anaheim Convention Center.
The crates contain scale models of upcoming Walt Disney World lands, with at least one model believed to be Piston Peak, currently under construction at Magic Kingdom, which will replace part of Frontierland.
While the exact plan for these models is unclear, they are likely to be on display at the Imagineering booth on the show floor of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Two years ago, this booth featured several large models of upcoming theme park plans and a secret room with concept art and designs.
Disney fans can catch a glimpse of what's in store for Walt Disney World without attending the event as the Disney Experiences Showcase will be streamed live on Disney+.
