Disney Intern Killed in Lightning Strike at Florida Trail

A 20-year-old Michigan man who had just moved to Florida for an internship at Walt Disney World has died after being struck by lightning along a trail in Osceola County.

The victim, Matthew Jenkins, was a participant in the Disney College Program. He had been looking forward to exploring his future and was excited about the new opportunity.

Blake Jahn, a friend of Jenkins from high school, described him as 'a good kid and a great son, brother, boyfriend' who cared deeply for everyone around him.

Jenkins' loved ones have been overwhelmed by the support they've received from across the country in the wake of his death.
