Disney Introduces Virtual Queue for Magic of Disney Animation Area
Disney World's Hollywood Studios is gearing up for a new virtual queue system, set to debut on September 14th. The Magic of Disney Animation area will feature drawing classes with Olaf, meet-and-greets, and an indoor playground.
The virtual queue will only be available on busier days, including the attraction's opening day, and won't be accessible through the My Disney Experience app. Instead, guests will provide their phone number to a Cast Member in The Magic of Disney Animation, who will text them when it's their turn to enter.
This is not the first time Disney has implemented virtual queues, but some guests have expressed concerns about the added complexity and potential for long wait times before entering the attraction. The decision to use virtual queues has been met with mixed reactions from visitors, with some seeing them as a necessary tool for managing crowds and others preferring traditional standby lines.
