Disney Kicks Off Halloween Party Early Amid Strong Ticket Sales
Disney's Magic Kingdom in Florida has kicked off its Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event, a separately ticketed evening celebration that runs on select nights through October 31. This year's event is notable for starting earlier than usual, on August 7, with the first five nights already sold out and additional dates also booked solid.
The party includes trick-or-treat stations, in-ride enhancements, exclusive parades, shows, and character meet-and-greets, all available to attendees who have purchased a ticket for $229. Disney's business model relies on these seasonal events to drive revenue during slower periods.
Disney's rival Comcast is also hosting its own Halloween-themed event at Universal Studios Florida starting later this month, with the California resort following suit in early September. The success of these hard-ticket events will be crucial for both companies as they navigate slower traffic trends in their theme parks since June.
