Disney Lakeshore Lodge Set to Open in 2027 with Waterfront Views and Complimentary Boat Service
Walt Disney World Resort is set to welcome its first brand-new waterfront hotel in years with the opening of Disney Lakeshore Lodge on July 1, 2027. Located on the shores of Bay Lake, the property will feature 967 rooms spread across eleven categories, including studios for two guests and three-bedroom Grand Villas accommodating up to twelve.
The Disney Lakeshore Lodge takes inspiration from various Disney films, with room categories named after movies such as Pocahontas, Encanto, Bambi, Fantasia, and Brother Bear. One of the standout features is The Lake House, a detached A-frame house with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private waterfront porch.
Guests will have access to various amenities, including Moonglade, the main restaurant, Bay Lake Provisions for all-day market shopping, and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill by the pool. The Wetlands area features a lazy river, zero-entry pool with a spiral water slide, and Pocahontas-inspired water play areas.
The real advantage of staying at Disney Lakeshore Lodge is its logistical convenience: a complimentary boat service connects the hotel to Magic Kingdom, sparing guests from buses and parking lots. Bookings for the new property will open on October 8, 2026, with Disney Vacation Club members and annual pass holders having access to bookings two days prior.
