Disney Lakeshore Lodge Unveils Lobby and Dining Venues Inspired by Pocahontas
Disney has given the public its first look at the lobby and dining venues of Disney Lakeshore Lodge, a new resort set to open on the shores of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World. The resort's design is inspired by the film Pocahontas, with floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby framing views of the surrounding wetlands. A blown glass sculpture inspired by 'Colors of the Wind' will hang from the ceiling, and custom tapestries based on the film's landscapes will appear throughout the space.
The resort will debut with three distinct dining venues: Moonglade, a table-service restaurant on the lakefront; Bay Lake Provisions, an all-day marketplace with specialty coffees and an open-kitchen setup; and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill, a pool bar inspired by plein-air painting. The space will also include Dandelion Terrace, a lounge positioned for views of Magic Kingdom fireworks reflecting off Bay Lake after sunset.
Disney has not yet announced a specific opening date beyond next summer, but the resort is expected to open with its Pocahontas-inspired theming and waterfront dining venues. Room rates and dining reservations have also yet to be confirmed.
