Disney+ has partnered with The Pokémon Company International to bring a new stop-motion series to their platform. The show, titled 'Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu,' is set to debut in 2027 and will stream exclusively on Disney+. This marks the first time a Pokémon series has been produced by Aardman, the studio behind beloved shows like 'Wallace & Gromit' and 'Shaun the Sheep.'

The new series follows Sirfetch'd and Pichu as they embark on a quest to help and protect Pokémon in need. The pair's misadventures forge an unlikely friendship, filled with laughter and heart.

Aardman director Tom Parkinson shared that they knew from the start that Sirfetch'd and Pichu had the makings of a 'really funny, heartfelt odd-couple story.'

The deal also includes a revival of the classic series 'Pokémon: The Beginning,' which is now streaming on Disney+ in select markets.
