Disney Launches Interactive Batuu Adventure Buddies at Droid Depot
Disney has announced the launch of Batuu Adventure Buddies, an interactive companion series that brings guests into the Star Wars universe. The first toy in this series is an Ewok, available at Disneyland's Droid Depot starting August 13, 2026. This new technology is reminiscent of Pal Mickey, a groundbreaking interactive plush introduced in 2003.
The Batuu Adventure Buddies are designed to interact with other toys and locations within Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, including select areas like Ronto Roasters and near the A-Wing. Each Ewok comes with themed gear packs that add flair and interactive play opportunities, such as the Endor Gear Set or Mandalore Gear Set.
The Droid Depot experience offers guests a unique opportunity to build their own droids using a metal basket and blueprint, allowing them to choose from four different models. The Batuu Adventure Buddies are set to be released in California at a later date, with all three toys also coming to Walt Disney World at an unannounced time.
This interactive merchandise idea is part of Disney's ongoing efforts to enhance guest experiences and create immersive environments within their parks.
