Disney Legends Cavalcade to Debut in Celebration of D23 Day

The Disney Legends Cavalcade will take place on August 13 at 1:30 p.m. in Disneyland's Main Street USA as part of D23 Day.

The cavalcade will feature the Disneyland Band, 23 Disney and Pixar characters, and select Disney Legends riding aboard Disneyland's double-decker bus and other Main Street USA vehicles.

The Disney Legend award is given to artists, actors, voice actors, songwriters, musicians, broadcasters, directors, producers, executives, and Walt Disney Imagineers who made significant and lasting contributions to Disney films, TV shows, music, and theme parks.

A total of 11 new Disney Legends will be inducted at a D23 awards ceremony on Sunday, August 16 during the convention. The lineup includes notable names such as Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, who acquired Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 21st Century Fox, and opened Shanghai Disneyland.
