Disney Limits Resort Hopping Access at Disney Springs

Halloween decorations are already up at Walt Disney World in Florida as it prepares for its busiest crowds of the year.

The resort has made some changes this summer to curb what's known as 'resort hopping', a popular pastime where guests visit multiple Disney resorts on non-park days.

The only restriction so far is at Disney Springs, where access to free transportation by bus and boat is limited to guests staying or experiencing something at one of the resort hotels.

This change was met with relief from some Port Orleans resort guests who had been complaining about long lines for water taxis due to the popularity of Mickey-shaped beignets.

Disney has confirmed that it will no longer have its giant gingerbread house at Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, a holiday draw for years. Instead, miniature displays will be featured around the property.
