Disney Live-Streams D23 Panels to a Global Audience
Disney is giving fans who can't attend D23 in person a treat. The company announced that several of its biggest panels will be live-streamed on Disney+, including one about upcoming projects at its theme parks. Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will be broadcast live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA on Saturday, August 15, at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET.
The panel will focus on Disney's 'Experiences' portfolio, which includes theme parks, cruises, and other ventures. Fans can expect updates on projects such as the upcoming Monsters Inc. roller coaster and Villains Land at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. The company promises to show project updates, first looks, new artwork and renderings, behind-the-scenes stories, creative insights, and a closer look at how some of Disney Experiences' most ambitious projects are progressing.
In addition to Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, several other panels will be live-streamed. These include the 35th anniversary celebration of Beauty and the Beast, a panel on Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 3, and the Disney Worldbuilders Panel with Jared Bush, Pete Docter, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Kevin Feige.
