Disney Magic Kingdom Refurbishments Hit Walt Disney World Railroad and Tiana's Bayou Adventure
Disney's Magic Kingdom is preparing for two rounds of temporary closures due to refurbishments. The first attraction, the Walt Disney World Railroad, will stop running on September 28 and is expected to reopen in November.
The railroad has already undergone changes due to the construction project at Magic Kingdom, which includes the development of Piston Peak National Park. As a result, the railroad now only operates between Main Street Station and Fantasyland Station instead of completing its loop around the park.
Guests will still be able to access the Main Street Train Station for viewing parades and fireworks, as well as Storybook Circus Station during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure will begin its refurbishment on November 2 and is expected to reopen in December. This means that there may be a period when both attractions are unavailable at the same time, although Disney has not confirmed this.
Guests planning visits during early-November should note that their experience could look different due to these temporary closures.
