Disney Offers Executives Early Retirement Packages as Part of Cost-Cutting Efforts

The Walt Disney Company is offering voluntary early retirement packages to eligible executives as part of its ongoing effort to reduce costs and streamline operations.

The Voluntary Early Retirement Offer (VERO) is available to U.S.-based executives ranging from director to executive vice president across Disney Entertainment, ESPN, and corporate operations.

To qualify, executives must be at least 50 years old, have worked for Disney for at least 10 years, and reach a combined threshold of 65 points based on age and years of service. Contract employees are excluded from the offer.

The package includes separation pay of up to one year depending on tenure and position, continued health coverage at employee rates during the severance period, and continued vesting of existing equity awards for three years.
