Disney Parks Get Major Upgrade with D23 Horizons Announcements
The Disney theme park experience is getting a major boost thanks to new announcements made at D23 Horizons. The event, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and Thomas Mazloum, featured a star-studded lineup of celebrities and Imagineers who shared updates on upcoming attractions and experiences.
One of the highlights was the announcement that Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress would be getting a story update. The attraction will feature new scenes depicting life in the 1960s, present day, and beyond. Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston will provide the voices for Mother and Father in the updated show.
Disneyland California is also getting its own nostalgic rewind with the return of 'Remember... Dreams Come True' nighttime fireworks show, the original 'World of Color', and the 'Magic Happens' parade. Meanwhile, Space Mountain in Paris will be reverting back to its original theme inspired by Jules Verne's novel.
Florida's Spaceship Earth is also getting an update after 20 years, with a new message that explores human connection. The yeti animatronic in Expedition Everest will be brought back to life as well.
