Disney Parks Hold Secrets in Plain Sight

A new book, 'The Lost History of Walt Disney World,' has revealed forgotten facts and hidden details about the resort. The authors, Ian Wilson and Danielle Kelly, are nostalgic fans who have spent years researching and uncovering the secrets of the parks.

The book begins with a brief history of the resort and then delves into each of its four theme parks. The authors share stories of forgotten plans, abandoned projects, and hidden details that can still be found in the parks today.

One of the most surprising facts revealed in the book is that Disney Legend Joe Rohde, the longtime Imagineer who shaped Disney's Animal Kingdom, voiced one of the audio-animatronics in EPCOT's Spaceship Earth. Another hidden detail is a Nautilus submarine Easter egg that lives on a tree in the queue of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

They encourage readers to slow down and take notice of the small things, such as the tiling work outside of the bathroom in Tomorrowland, which was a result of three weeks of research by a former Imagineer.
