Disney Parks Revamps Classic Attractions with Nostalgic Touch
Disney Parks unveiled a slew of nostalgic-centered upgrades at its recent D23 convention. Thousands of fans wrote down their cherished memories on index cards, which will be buried under trees planted near the new 'Coco' attraction currently under construction.
The announcements included transformed Tomorrowland at Disneyland with multiple new attractions and 'more open spaces.' Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum described it as a place for guests to 'dream about the future.'
Fans expressed both excitement and concern over the lack of concrete project timelines. Frida Quiroz noted that Tomorrowland has been 'stuck in the past,' while Sarah White was optimistic, suggesting it could be revitalized with elements reminiscent of Walt Disney's spirit.
Other updates included a redesign of Magic Kingdom's Carousel of Progress, featuring Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston as voice actors. The ride inside EPCOT's iconic sphere, Spaceship Earth, will also be refocused on the evolution of human connection. A new journey for Figment in EPCOT was announced, promising to bring back the character Dreamfinder.
