Disney Parks Unveil Multi-Million Dollar Overhauls for Iconic Attractions

Disney Parks and Resorts have announced several exciting new developments at D23 2026. One of the most notable updates is the complete reimagining of Tomorrowland at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The land will receive new attractions, more open spaces, and areas designed to capture the optimistic spirit Walt Disney envisioned when Tomorrowland opened in 1955.

The Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland will also get a makeover. The classic Audio-Animatronics attraction has been entertaining guests for generations, but it's getting a fresh spin with a new introduction featuring a Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics figure and four updated scenes that move the family's story from the 1960s through the future.

EPCOT's iconic Spaceship Earth is also receiving its first update in nearly two decades. The attraction's story will shift beyond its current focus on human communication to include the internet age and beyond, emphasizing human connection while adding new magic throughout the experience.
