Disney Patents Revolutionizing Theme Park Experiences
Disney has been busy filing patents for new and exciting technology that could revolutionize the theme park experience. At the recent D23 Ultimate Fan Event, Disney revealed plans for several in-progress and planned projects, including new lands and attractions.
However, a closer look at some of the company's latest patent filings reveals even more innovative ideas on the horizon. One such patent describes technology that would create the illusion of a ride vehicle rising or falling without actually moving. This concept is reminiscent of Universal's Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man attraction and could be used in various Disney projects.
Another patent, titled 'Personalized Notification of Attractions Including User Preferences or Aversions,' aims to provide guests with a more tailored experience based on their individual preferences. Using data from the My Disney Experience app, this system would alert riders via visual, audio, or haptic alerts when an attraction matches their likes or dislikes.
Additionally, Disney has applied for a patent that describes new Animatronics capable of holding natural-sounding conversations with guests. By combining memory banks and large language models (LLMs), these characters could engage in more realistic dialogue, bringing the worlds of Disney to life like never before.
