Disney Posts Strongest Quarter in Years Amid Regulatory Uncertainty
Disney's Q3 results show the company's strength despite regulatory uncertainty.
The Walt Disney Company posted its strongest quarter in years, with fiscal Q3 adjusted EPS of $2.06 beating estimates and total segment operating income up 21% YoY.
However, this success is overshadowed by a lawsuit against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) over eight ABC broadcast licenses.
The company's CEO Josh D'Amaro acknowledged the regulatory challenge in a Q3 earnings call, saying 'This was an excellent quarter for us, and our Q3 results and reiterated full year outlook show we're operating from a real position of strength.'
