Disney Rebooting Nighttime Shows at Hollywood Studios

Disney's Hollywood Studios has announced the return of two nighttime shows as part of its entertainment lineup. From August 9, guests can enjoy Disney Movie Magic and Wonderful World of Animation at the Chinese Theatre. The projection-mapped show Disney Movie Magic transforms the theatre into a rapid tour through Disney's live-action library, covering franchises like Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean. The companion show, Wonderful World of Animation, is a longer animation-focused presentation that travels through decades of Disney and Pixar films.

The addition of these shows aims to spread nighttime crowds across the park and ease pressure on the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater during Fantasmic!'s busiest performance. Despite Walt Disney World experiencing surprisingly light crowds this summer, some have argued that the park needs a bigger spectacular to draw in visitors.
