Disney+ Releases New Highlights as Part of World Princess Week 2026
Disney+ has released four new highlights as part of World Princess Week 2026, which took place from August 16 to 22. The celebration honored the legacy of the Disney Princesses and their bond with fans worldwide. One of the new releases is 'Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration', a filmed concert that brought together the largest gathering of Disney Princess stars yet.
The concert was held at Disney California Adventure Park on August 13 during D23 Day, and its Disney+ release occurred a few days later. Another highlight is 'Once a Princess, Always a Princess', a short film that celebrates Princesses of all ages. It tells the story of two young girls who form a magical bond through their shared love of Disney Princesses.
In addition to these releases, new episodes of 'Sofia the First: Royal Magic' and 'LEGO Disney Princess: Magical Mayhem' are now streaming on Disney+. The latter is an animated special that follows the Disney Princess characters as they help take care of animals during a rainstorm. World Princess Week 2026 also marked significant anniversaries for two beloved Disney Princess films: 'Beauty and the Beast (1991)' celebrated its 35th anniversary, while 'Moana (2016)' reached its 10th milestone.
