Disney Resort Hoppers Face New Challenge with Mobile Orders
Disney World has introduced restrictions on Mobile Order pickups at three of its most popular resorts. The restriction affects guests who are not staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
The rule is not new, but it has been getting more attention lately. According to the My Disney Experience app, Mobile Orders can be reserved for guests staying at these resorts only. This means that guests who are resort-hopping may no longer be able to use the convenient option of placing an order before arriving.
However, a loophole has been discovered by guests. By tapping 'OK' on the warning message and continuing through the ordering process, guests can still select a pickup time and add food to their cart without staying at that resort. But the restriction is still in place, and it's unclear how long this workaround will be available.
The restriction may become more relevant during busy periods when Disney wants to limit the number of people visiting these hotels without resort stays. Guests who regularly resort-hop around Magic Kingdom should pay attention to what the My Disney Experience app tells them before leaving the park or traveling across Walt Disney World specifically for a Mobile Order.
