Disney Revamps Magic Kingdom Restaurant with New Pop-Up Concept
Walt Disney World is revamping its Magic Kingdom restaurant offerings with a new pop-up dining concept at the infamous Diamond Horseshoe in Liberty Square. The space has been used for various seasonal menus and meal services over the years, but most recently served a family-style feast similar to that of nearby Liberty Tree Tavern.
The change is likely due to the decreased dining capacity at Magic Kingdom since the closures of Tortuga Tavern, Tomorrowland Terrace, Aunt Polly's, and Be Our Guest Restaurant during peak season. The new pop-up concept will offer small plates and drinks, including a charcuterie board with cured beef, 'fancy bacon', smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar, and pickles.
The menu also features the Enchanting Ember Lemonade, made with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, strawberry, and hot honey garnished with a chili-lime rim. For those looking for something stronger, the Cactus Rose Margarita is available, made with LALO Blanco Tequila, prickly pear, lime, and agave.
The pop-up concept will reportedly start after the conclusion of Cool Kids' Summer on September 8, 2026, with an expected opening date in late October. Walt Disney World has not yet announced a specific start date or more details about the menu items to come.
