Disney Reveals Future Plans for Theme Parks and Experiences
Disney fans got an exciting glimpse into the future at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where the company unveiled major theme park and experiences plans. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, the sold-out presentation focused on what's coming next to Disney parks and experiences worldwide.
Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum emphasized that fans remain at the heart of everything they do as the company continues to expand its destinations. The evening featured musical guests including Sheryl Crow, Beck, Los Lobos, and Gloria Gaynor, turning the showcase into a full-scale entertainment event.
The announcements included a reimagining of Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park, although Disney has not yet revealed full details about exactly what the transformation will include. EPCOT's Journey Into Imagination is also getting a complete reimagining, with Figment and Dreamfinder returning to the attraction.
Other projects discussed during the evening included a new Coco attraction at Disneyland Resort, an expansion of Avengers Campus, and plans for Disney's international destinations such as a Lion King-themed area at Disneyland Paris and additional Marvel experiences in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
