Disney Rolls Out New Pressed Penny Designs Across Disney Springs
Walt Disney World Resort has introduced new versions of classic characters in pressed penny designs across its Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment district. The updated designs are featured on blank copper coins dispensed from next-generation machines that have been installed throughout the area.
The first machine is located inside the World of Disney store and features eight designs inspired by classic Disney Princesses, including Tinker Bell from Peter Pan (1953), Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Cinderella from Cinderella (1950), Belle from Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aurora from Sleeping Beauty (1959), Ariel from The Little Mermaid (1989), Rapunzel from Tangled (2010), and Tiana from The Princess and the Frog (2009).
The second machine is situated near the Winnie the Pooh photo-op in the Marketplace neighborhood's Art Corner store and features designs with characters from the Hundred Acre Wood, including Eeyore sitting on Tigger's shoulders, Winnie the Pooh with Piglet, and Rabbit.
