Disney Sees Modest Growth, Despite International Attendance Headwinds
The Walt Disney Company has reported a modest 3% increase in visitors to its U.S. parks, but international attendance remains a challenge.
CEO Josh D'Amaro noted that while there were 'headwinds' from international visitors, these had moderated somewhat compared to the previous year's fiscal Q2 results.
The company's Experiences segment, which includes all of Disney's theme parks worldwide and its cruise line, saw a 4% increase in global guests.
Walt Disney World in Florida was a standout performer, with strong core attendance growth from domestic tourists and annual passholders. Forward bookings at Walt Disney World also remain robust.
