Disney Sets Sail for Home Release of Live-Action Moana
Walt Disney Studios has announced the home release dates for its live-action reimagining of 'Moana'. The film, starring Catherine Laga'ia as Moana and Dwayne Johnson reprising his role as Maui, will be available on premium digital platforms starting September 8. This will be followed by a physical release on October 6, which includes a limited-edition 4K UHD SteelBook featuring beautiful packaging of the main characters.
The home release also includes a 3-Movie Collection, bundling the live-action film alongside the original animated 'Moana' and 'Moana 2'. This is aimed at fans looking to complete their library. The collection will be available on October 6, when the physical release of the live-action film takes place.
Disney has packed this release with extensive bonus features, offering fans a closer look at the production of the live-action world. Highlights include 'Behind the Scenes', which looks at the search for the perfect Moana and the construction of Motunui; 'Music & Choreography', which explores the creation of the film's music, including a brand-new track, 'Along The Way'; and 'Family & Community', where cast members share insights into portraying the emotional core of the film.
