Disney is retiring its Play Disney Parks app, which was launched in 2018 for Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World. The app featured free games that engaged guests with the parks' architecture and visual storytelling.

The app will be shut down on September 16, 2026, and most of the guided games will be discontinued. However, some activities will still exist without the app component.

At Walt Disney World, the Fab 50 gold character statues will remain in place, and guests can activate audio effects by waving their MagicBand+ at the statues. The ability to track progress finding the 50 statues will be discontinued when the Play Disney Parks app is removed.
