Disney Star Raquel Lee Bolleau Sues Studio Over Alleged 2001 Sexual Assault
Former child star Raquel Lee Bolleau has filed a civil lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company, alleging she was sexually assaulted by a middle-aged male employee while working on a Disney Channel movie in 2001. The alleged abuse took place during the filming of 'The Poof Point' in Salt Lake City and on a flight back to California.
Bolleau, now 39, claims that the employee supplied her with alcohol before assaulting her multiple times. She alleges that production staff encouraged her to bond with the employee, kept her separated from her guardian, and failed to supervise her appropriately.
The lawsuit also states that Disney executives blamed Bolleau for her alleged behavior change, labeling her 'out of control' and pulling her from a future role. Bolleau's attorneys say that this conduct is inexcusable and those involved must be held accountable.
