Disney Star Sues Company Over Alleged Cover-Up of Minor's Sexual Abuse
A former Disney Channel star is suing The Walt Disney Company for negligence and alleged cover-up of her sexual abuse as a minor.
Raquel Lee Bolleau, who appeared in several Disney projects including 'The Poof Point' and 'The Proud Family', claims she was sexually abused by an adult male employee at the age of 14 during filming. She alleges that Disney personnel encouraged her to 'bond' with the employee, which ultimately led to the abuse.
Bolleau's lawsuit states that the alleged abuser supplied her with alcohol and repeatedly assaulted her on set and even continued to abuse her after filming wrapped. The suit also claims that Disney failed to investigate the incident or provide medical care for Bolleau, instead branding her 'out of control'.
