Disney Strips Whimsy from Another Walt Disney World Resort

The Disney All-Star Movies Resort at Walt Disney World is undergoing refurbishment work. This includes an update to the gift shop, Donald's Double Feature, which has been split into two phases. The front half of the store now features new flooring, painted walls, and updated shelving.

However, this renovation has not gone unnoticed by fans who are concerned about the modernization of Disney resorts. They argue that the changes have stripped away character and whimsy from the properties.

The refurbishment work extends beyond the gift shop to guest rooms at All-Star Movies, which will be updated through January 2027. During this time, guests may experience construction noise and alternate paths of travel.
