Disney Sued Over Alleged On-Set Sexual Assault of Child Actress
Raquel Lee Bolleau, a former child actress, has filed a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company alleging on-set sexual assault. She was 14 years old at the time of filming in 2001 for a Disney Channel movie.
Bolleau claims that Disney staff encouraged her to spend time with a former employee who sexually assaulted her during production in Salt Lake City and on travel back to California.
The lawsuit states that adults on set noticed changes in Bolleau's behavior, but no one intervened or properly investigated the situation at the time. Instead, she claims Disney representatives blamed her for changes in her performance and canceled a future role she had been expecting.
