Disney Taps Hastings for Top Marketing Post Amid Business Restructuring Efforts
The Walt Disney Company has appointed Joss Hastings as Senior Vice President, Marketing, for its Consumer Products division. This move comes as part of a larger business restructuring effort aimed at bringing merchandise and licensing operations closer to the content that fuels them.
Hastings will oversee global marketing efforts for Disney Consumer Products, reporting jointly to Disney Chief Marketing and Brand Officer Asad Ayaz and DCP President Lisa Baldzicki. With nearly 20 years of experience within the company, Hastings has worked across various Disney businesses, including consumer products, digital, music, parks, and gaming.
The restructuring effort involves moving Consumer Products from Disney Experiences to Disney Entertainment Studios, which is expected to create strategic and operational benefits by aligning intellectual property monetization with content creation teams. This change reflects the growing importance of franchise-driven merchandise in the broader entertainment business.
