Disney Taps into TikTok's Power with Creator Content Deal
The Walt Disney Company and TikTok have partnered to bring creator content featuring Disney characters to their platforms. This global deal will allow users to make short-form videos with Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars content, which will be shared across TikTok and the vertical video feed on the Disney+ streaming app.
As part of the agreement, TikTok creators will have access to a vast library of Disney content, including hundreds of films and TV shows. The pilot program for these videos is set to roll out in the coming months and then expand to other markets.
In a statement announcing the partnership, Asad Ayaz, chief marketing and brand officer for Disney, said that this deal will give creators 'a bigger stage to share what they've made, and audiences more to discover on Disney+ every day.'
