Disney Taps TikTok's Massive User Base for Short-Form Content
The Walt Disney Company and TikTok have partnered for a groundbreaking global deal. The agreement will allow users to create content using Disney's intellectual property, which will then be shared on both platforms, including TikTok and Disney+.
The pilot program is set to launch in the US within months, with plans to expand to other markets soon after. Participating creators who opt-in to the program will have access to assets related to hundreds of films and series from Disney's library of franchises and IP.
TikTok boasts an impressive 1.9 billion monthly active users globally, with around 1.12 billion daily users. The average user spends between 52-58 minutes per day consuming content on the platform, making it one of the world's most-used social media platforms.
