Disney Teams Up with Fortnite on Smugglers Run
Disney's Smugglers Run has introduced new changes, including a link between Disney and Fortnite accounts. Guests can now accept a special mission in the ride queue by linking their accounts, unlocking an exclusive Forsworn Trooper Outfit in Fortnite.
The new system allows guests to receive rewards in Fortnite for collecting crates during the ride. Cast members have confirmed that engineers will be responsible for collecting these rewards, and once activated on a phone, no changes are needed during the ride experience.
During our visit to Hollywood Studios, we observed the Fortnite tab popping up in the My Disney Experience app, allowing us to accept the mission and link our accounts. The ride can detect devices and set up the Fortnite version of the experience, awarding rewards for crate collection.
