Disney Teams with Aardman for Stop-Motion Pokémon Adventure

Disney has partnered with Aardman to create a new stop-motion series called Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu, which will debut on Disney XD and stream exclusively on Disney+ worldwide in 2027.

The deal also brings the classic series Pokémon the Series: The Beginning, featuring Ash Ketchum and Pikachu's original adventures, to Disney+. This series has already begun airing on Disney XD and is available on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets.

This partnership marks a significant collaboration between Disney and Aardman, bringing together one of the world's most recognizable children's entertainment brands with Aardman's signature stop-motion artistry.
