Disney Teams with TikTok for Vertical Video Partnership
The Walt Disney Company has announced a partnership with TikTok to bring more creator-made vertical videos to its Disney+ streaming app.
Under the terms of the agreement, TikTok will provide creators who choose to participate with access to assets from hundreds of Disney movies and television shows for use in short-form videos that will appear on both platforms.
The effort aims to boost engagement and reduce churn on Disney+, which is part of the company's strategy to make the app its 'digital centerpiece' according to Chief Executive Josh D'Amaro.
