Disney Tests Mobile Checkout at Celebrity 5&10

Celebrity 5&10 and The Darkroom at Disney's Hollywood Studios have introduced a new temporary cash register that may eventually become a mobile checkout station.

The permanent cash wrap in this spot was removed, and the flooring was replaced along with an outlet cover installed where the register used to be.

A temporary podium has been set up, which is white with golden trim. The Cast Member manning it uses only a scanner and tablet, rather than a full register.

This setup resembles the stations used for merchandise mobile checkout at other stores, currently only offered at Mickey's of Hollywood in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
